Christmas Wishes

Christmas wishes really do come true! Last month I was fund raising for The Avon Walk for breast cancer which I will participate in this coming May. This month, a complete stranger made my fund raising dreams come true when she donated all of her party proceeds from a Tastefully Simple party and put me over the top of my $1,800 goal! Thanks Jessica! What a miracle AND a dream come true! Now I can begin fund raising for my son's walk. He will be participating with me in May and i am so proud of him! So when I consider Christmas and what it means, the lights, the tinsel, the singing, I am reminded that GIVING is the best part of all! What we receive in our own hearts when we give to another is truly a beautiful thing!

Awareness Doesn't Stop With October

We've just bid farewell to Breast Cancer Awareness month and are now headed for the holidays. But breast cancer awareness lasts well beyond the month of October. It affects the lives of countless women every single day. That is why The Taffy Box is continuing to offer breast cancer awareness jewelry items and will donate all proceeds of these items to my fund raising goal of $1,800 for the Avon Walk which I will participate in May 1-2, 2010. I will walk along with my college son and his girlfriend, who walked for me, in my honor, last May while I was finishing chemo therapy for breast cancer. Click

Summer Lovin'!

Summer is coming to a close and the "lazy days" are nearly over. Children are gearing up for the new school year and teachers are back in the classrooms preparing for next week's first days. I can't help but remember how much I loved being a preschool teacher and all of the excitement that filled those early days. That is what inspires my Love 2 TEACH pendant necklace!
